Board of Directors

-Bidemi Oladipupo (In Memory of Our Founder, Anchor Heritage)

Bidemi Oladipupo was the visionary founder of Anchor Heritage and a passionate advocate for justice, equity, and human dignity. With a firm belief that every individual regardless of their
circumstances deserves access to justice, he established Anchor Heritage in 2015 as a platform to champion the rights of vulnerable and voiceless inmates in Nigeria’s correctional system. Until his passing, Bidemi was a Director on the Board and Chief Executive Officer, where he provided exceptional leadership for over seven years, guiding the organization from a passionate idea into a nationally recognized non-governmental organization. Under his direction, Anchor Heritage expanded its reach across multiple custodial centers, forged meaningful partnerships with legal aid bodies, and impacted the lives of hundreds of inmates through legal representation, counselling, and rehabilitation programs. Bidemi was more than just a leader, he was a mentor, visionary, and servant-hearted trailblazer. His deep empathy for those unjustly detained, combined with his unwavering commitment to justice reform, shaped the core mission and values of Anchor Heritage. He believed in second chances and worked tirelessly to build systems that would not only free the wrongly incarcerated but also prepare them for reintegration into society with dignity and purpose. Though his time with us was cut short, Bidemi’s legacy continues to live on in every case we take, every life we touch, and every reform we pursue.
