At Anchor Heritage Initiative, we believe that access to technology is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity. In today's digital world, technology serves as a gateway to education, employment, entrepreneurship, and social inclusion. Recognizing this reality, we took a bold step toward transforming correctional rehabilitation by establishing the first of its kind ICT Hub inside a Nigerian custodial center. On 29th April 2023, Anchor Heritage Initiative commissioned the first of its kind ICT Hub at the Kirikiri Medium Custodial Centre, Lagos, making history by creating a modern learning environment where inmates could gain practical digital skills while serving their sentences. The facility was designed to bridge the digital divide, giving inmates the opportunity to acquire computer literacy, digital skills, improve their knowledge of technology, and prepare for productive lives after incarceration.
As the programme continued to grow and the demand for digital education increased, the need for a larger and better-equipped facility became evident. This led to the expansion of the ICT Hub, providing additional learning space and greater opportunities for inmate participation.
The expanded facility was officially commissioned on 21st January 2026 and renamed The Bidemi Oladipupo ICT Hub in honor of our Founder, whose unwavering vision and commitment to correctional rehabilitation continue to inspire innovative solutions that restore hope and transform lives.
Today, the Bidemi Oladipupo ICT Hub stands as more than a computer laboratory—it is a symbol of second chances. By equipping inmates with relevant digital and technological skills, the Hub empowers them to become employable, entrepreneurial, and productive citizens upon their release. It represents our belief that rehabilitation should prepare individuals not only to leave correctional facilities but also to thrive beyond them
